Each year when Apple hosts its annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference, the world braces for change. What will the next groundbreaking gadget be? What life-changing technology will alter the way every developer on earth does things? What inevitable gems will spout from Steve Jobs’ lips?

Well, all of those questions were answered last week when our lead developer Patrick Hefner attended the much-anticipated conference in San Francisco. He came back today and stared at his computer screen with fresh eyes, looking forward to a better, brighter future of app development.

Not only did Jobs’ keynote announce the launch of new consumer-facing technologies such as the iCloud, the new Mac operating system and exciting changes for iPhone (Twitter integration, notification center, and more), but it also introduced fundamental changes to iOS5 that will radically change the way developers go about building applications.

From a consumer perspective, the changes are a bit behind the scenes. But for developers, this is some pretty exciting stuff. Basically, it boils down to the fact that Apple has made some major enhancements to the iOS5 software so that developers will now be able to focus less on de-bugging code and more on user experience. These (very welcome) alterations will no doubt jumpstart a whole new generation of app development, and our entire team at rabble+rouser is excited to have the chance to focus on creating great apps and worry less about nitty-gritty details like app stability.

It truly is a new day for the developers of the world. In fact, we think we should all take a minute to breathe it all in.

And now that that’s taken care of, let’s get to work and start utilizing these exciting software updates on upcoming projects and applications. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
