Polling applications (like the ones we built for clients) have always been a great way to engage people on Facebook, get a quick read on basic business questions, or just have fun with fans. But polling apps require a permission pop-up and many people are turned off by having to “allow access” to personal and friend information. The beauty of the new Questions functionality is that it’s native to Facebook, so it does not require that onerous permissions pop-up. What’s more, and here’s the kicker, since it is completely integrated into Facebook, the potential for your poll or question to reach a broad audience and even go viral is huge. Your fans can ask their friends to vote on the question and continue to keep the ball rolling—without the permissions pop-up spoiling all the fun.
We love building Facebook apps and experiences for our clients, but nothing beats native for the most seamless, integrated and easy to manage Facebook features like this one. In fact, we are so in love with it we decided to have some fun with it today. So here’s our question for you. In a few short weeks the rabble team is running the Bolder Boulder and we need team t-shirts. Which design do you think rocks the block? Take our Facebook poll. And remember, vote early and vote often! http://www.facebook.com/rabbleandrouser
