Chris Armijo

Interactive Creative Director

Chris Armijo is a multi-disciplinary designer, artist, and coder and is known for his elegant and compelling website designs. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chris often spent time watching his father, a talented woodworker and artist, create commissioned furniture and public sculptures. No doubt, Chris’s affinity for clean and spacious design stems from hours of sweeping up sawdust in his father’s woodworking/sculpture shop.

Chris obtained a master’s degree in fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design where he was named Presidential Scholar. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of New Mexico, a Master Printer’s Certificate from Tamarind Institute, and a Collegiate Teaching Certificate from Brown University’s Sheridan Learning Center.

Prior to joining rabble+rouser, Chris served as principal web designer at ManiaTV! Network (the first live Internet television network) where he played an integral role in defining the company’s online presence. Chris also served as principal web designer at Fusionbox, Inc., a Denver-based web design firm, where he designed and coded unique, one-of-a-kind websites for a variety of Denver clients. In addition to his web design experience, Chris has taught college-level courses in lithography, intaglio, and relief printmaking techniques.
